[back to top]Free Print Quota Will Reduce Wasted Paper in Computer Labs
For the past few years, excessive printing in the computer labs has caused a tremendous amount of wasted paper and service delays for our students. To reduce waste, Information Services partnered with the Student Government Association to institute the Free Print Quota program.
Introduced on September 1, 2007, all students, faculty and staff are able to print up to 400 pages free of charge in NU Information Services managed computer labs per print period. The print quota will reset to 400 pages at the end of the following intervals:
- September 1 to December 31
- January 1 to April 30
- May 1 to August 31
There is no "rollover" of unused pages. Students do not have unlimited free printing, so please prepare instructional materials so that they have a minimal impact on students ’ print quotas. Please review our Free Print Quota FAQs and print management tips.

myApps : myApps is a part of Northeastern On Demand , NU Information Services' award-winning concept in mobile delivery. myApps is a virtual desktop that gives faculty, staff and students the ability to access popular computer applications anywhere a high speed connection to the internet is available. Faculty, staff and students can print and save work to their myFiles virtual storage (the U Drive on myApps). More software titles will be available soon; visit the myApps channel on myneu.neu.edu for more information.
Software Downloads on myNEU: Students and faculty can download selected applications from the software download link on myNEU. These applications are licensed for home and school use. Check back frequently; more titles will become available during the 2007-2008 academic year.
